Aldea appreciates and needs ongoing support from generous donors like you! We could not serve the more than 1,500 children and families we see each year without your help. Your contribution gives us the opportunity to care for uninsured and underinsured children and families in our community giving them hope for a brighter future.

We always welcome cash donations by check or credit card click here to donate. Donations of securities can be handled by contacting Development Manager, Katie Bullard at kbullard@aldeainc.org or 707-224-8266 x637.

Campaign for a New Home
Aldea Children and Family Services has just moved into our new home at 1546 First Street. As one of the larger non-profit organizations in the Napa Valley, Aldea has put the needs of children first for nearly four decades. We serve children who suffer abuse and neglect, or who struggle with emotional and mental difficulties. For kids like these, for their families and for adults with disabilities, Aldea Children and Family Services has been an advocate and shining source of hope. And for over 35years, our therapists and social workers have been committed to the health and well being of the most vulnerable in Napa and Solano counties. Last year, Aldea helped over 2,200emotionally troubled and traumatized children and their families find support, safety, and healing. Today we face a new challenge... to fund our new home. To accomplish this we have launched a $2.5 million capital campaign called, Aldea’s Campaign for a New Home in August of this year.

With gifts and pledges of $1.5 million already obtained, we are substantially on our way to reaching our campaign goal of $2.5million. With committed pledges from some long term supporters of the agency, Aldea purchased the building in downtown Napa in March this year and upgraded it to our needs. With successful completion of the Campaign for a New Home sometime in 2009, we will be able to retire the mortgage on the building. By retiring the mortgage, Aldea can then redirect those funds to services for children and families.

We are planning a capital campaign donor appreciation event in April to recognize all contributors to the Allen Ewig Building. Donate TODAY and be part of that celebration. (click here to donate)

Estate Planning

There are many different ways to make a lasting gift to Aldea Children and Family Services. That is why Aldea is pleased to offer the services of Thompson & Associates, a national leader in estate plan consulting. Thompson’s representative, Bob Hoffman, is available for confidential meetings, with no expectation of a financial commitment to Aldea Children &Family Services. While planned giving advisors traditionally concentrate on the gift for the sponsoring charity, Thompson &Associates focuses on the priorities and life circumstances of the donor. Here’s what Thompson & Associates can do for you:

  • Clarify your estate goals and work with you to develop a Personal Financial Philosophy that reflects your vision. Provide and manage an action plan geared toward achieving your expected estate outcomes.
  • Compare your existing estate plan with Thompson’s recommendations for you.
  • Collaborate significantly with your present advisors and work with them to accomplish your goals.
  • Outline how you can potentially transfer more wealth to your heirs by including a qualified non-
profit organization in your estate plan. Quantify the amount that would otherwise go to taxes.
  • Several Aldea supporters have already met with Bob Hoffman, and have great appreciation for his advice.

If you have questions or would like to schedule a free, confidential meeting with Bob Hoffman, please call Katie Bullard at Aldea, (707-224-8266 ext. 637). You can be assured that no financial products will be marketed and that there is no obligation involved.

In-kind Donations

Donations in kind, either for use in our programs, by the families we support or as auction items for our fundraiser are welcome. While there are some limitations of what we can accept, please feel free to contact dgriffin@aldeainc.org if you have something that you think might help us or those we serve.

Thank you for your support!
